JV had impressive showing in their debut match as well. Nice looking goals from Aaron Tappana (2) and Luke Dalton propelled the JV to a 3-0 victory.
On Thursday, the home opening match got off to a slow start. As expected, Carthage came out quick did very well possessing the ball. Shortly after the first half, lightning caused a 30 minute delay which seemed to invigorate and wake up the Cardinal squad. We came out the second half fighting. Despite some nice attacks, we could not effectively possess the ball had a difficult time penetrating a very good defense. The Cards fought through the whole game however despite the disappointing loss.
