Districts Saturday

The bus will be leaving at 8:30am Saturday morning for districts. All varsity players should be ready to go at that time. Any JV players that want to attend are welcome to ride the bus with the team. The first game will be against Monett at noon. If we win, we will play again on Monday at 7:00pm.

Team Night Thursday, OCT 30

The Heuertz family will be hosting a team night on Thursday night to celebrate the season and to recharge the varsity squad for their district tournament on Saturday. We will be ordering pizza from Papa John's and there will be a bonfire after dark. The festivities will begin around 6:00 and pizza will arrive around seven. All varsity and JV players are invited along with their families. Thanks for the Subway

The soccer team would like to extend a special thanks to Katrin Wood (Riley's mom) and to the Heuertz' for setting up the meal after practice on Wednesday. We appreciate all that you and the other parents have done for us throughout the season. 

Varsity Practice on Friday Morning

The Varsity team will practice Friday morning at 8:00. It is important that in this week off, we don't get complacent and fall in to bad routines. We have work to do to prepare for districts. Read the quote at the top of this page. Preparation is essential for victory.

Bracket for District Tournament

Here is the bracket for the District Tournament. We were seeded 7th, setting us up for our third meeting with Monett- the exact situation we were hoping for. We know what we have to do. Now let's get busy making it happen.

We will play our first game on Saturday, November 1st at noon.

Cardinals End Regular Season Play

The Cardinals Soccer team finished their regular season matches last night at Ozark where they were dealt a 9-1 loss. The Cardinals' only goal came in the 36th minute on a breakaway goal from Sophomore Jace Cooke, who got his 9th goal of the season. In JV action, Cody Jolly followed a nice play by Chase Capron who slid in to knock the ball loose from the keeper, Jolly finished the play by introducing the ball to the back of the net. This was not enough to win the match, however, as JV fell in there last game. 

For JV, this season has ended and the next one has begun. Excellent players are made in the off-season. 

Varsity will now regroup and begin preparing for districts. Tough losses taken this season were learning experiences to prepare us for district competition. We've played a tough schedule against quality opponents and have given most of them a run for their money. We start now at 0-0 with every match from here on out being a win or go home situation. 

THE GOAL IS REDEMPTION!

NO GAME VS CASSVILLE

A reminder that the Cassville game that was scheduled for the 23rd was actually taken off of the schedule just before the season started. There will not be a game vs Cassville at home on Thursday.

Tuesday vs Ozark

The bus will be leaving at 2:15 from the high school on Tuesday for our trip to Ozark. JV will play first at 5:00. Varsity will begin around 6:30. For the Varsity Cardinals, this match will be a rematch of the 7-3 loss we took to Ozark when they hosted us for their tournament. Good Luck Gentlemen!

Meals to be Provided by Parents

Snacks will be provided by parents for the trip to Ozark on Tuesday. 

Also, following practice on Wednesday, parents will be providing a meal for the team to celebrate the end of the regular season and a job well done. On the menu will be subs, chips, cookies, and cake. Thank you to the parents for being so generous and a special thanks to the Heuertz' for organizing the meal.
